Dear Eagle families,
It has been another busy week here at our beautiful Don Ross. As you may know, we had a false activation of our fire alarm this week. This alarm activation was a true accident; nevertheless, we remind our students to be careful exiting and returning to class, we had a more serious injury occur during our building evacuation.
As the weather changes, we are reminding our students to dress smart to stay comfortable against rain, wind, and chilly days. Remind our children to check the weather forecast each morning and gear up accordingly. If there is significant rain or temperature drops, we will open indoor spaces but for the most part students will be outside to enjoy some fresh air during breaks!
Just a reminder about buses, our children’s safety is our top priority, please reshare our advice about bus travel: “Get to the stop a bit early, stand back when the bus approaches, and line up without pushing when getting on. Find your seat quickly and allow the bus driver to focus. Know where the emergency exits are, be careful at stops, and always respect your bus driver. Save the fun for off the bus, and if you ever have questions, don't hesitate to ask.”

**Reminders**
- Please make sure your child arrives at school on time and is ready to learn each day. If they arrive late, they need to check in at the office.
Parents Corner:
We continue to have technical difficulties with the hot lunch portion of School Cash Online. We are working with the provider to solve the situation but at this time it remains unreliable. As a result, we will suspend hot lunch orders until the problem has been resolved. Refunds will be issued for all families that have paid for hot lunches in advance (up to winter break) and we will continue to update families on our progress.
Please note: School Cash Online is still functioning properly for field trips and sports teams. The problem applies to the hot lunch orders only.
