Weekly Bulletin - November 7, 2025

Dear Eagles,

Dear Eagle Families,

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the start of November. Thank you for your continued support of our school community and for the many positive conversations we’ve had with students and families over the past weeks. Don Ross is a busy, vibrant place to learn, and we appreciate everything you do to help our students thrive.

This week, I’d like to highlight a few important updates:

Cross Country Success!
Huge congratulations to our Cross Country teams! We are incredibly proud of their hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship. Thank you to our coaches and families for supporting the team throughout the season.

 Brackendale Art Gallery Lunch Option
We continue to explore the possibility of allowing students to purchase lunches at the Brackendale Art Gallery. While we are excited about this potential partnership, we have a few key pieces to finalize to ensure student safety and supervision. Until we have a clear, consistent plan in place with community partners, students must remain on campus during lunch. We anticipate having a decision and plan ready in early November.

 School Student Fee ($15)
A reminder that the 2025/26 School Student Fee of $15 supports school groups, clubs, athletics, leadership initiatives, and many whole-school activities. Fees can be paid through School Cash Online or at the office. No student will ever be denied access to opportunities due to financial hardship please reach out if needed.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership and for helping us strengthen belonging and well-being at Don Ross. If you have any questions, please continue to contact the office, we are always here to help.

 Sincerely,

Graham

Author Visit at Our School

We were excited to welcome local author Mahtab Narsimhan to our school this week! Ten classes had the opportunity to attend her presentation, where she shared her writing journey, spoke about the creative process, and offered inspirational tips to our budding young writers.

We are also grateful to the Whistler Writer's Festival and their Authors in Schools program for generously donating copies of Mahtab Narsimhan’s latest novels to our library. Our students are already eager to sign them out!

Thank you to our librarian, Ms. Mah for organizing this wonderful learning opportunity.
