French

In Core French, students with the basics, often exploring the French language through art, drama, film, and play.  Students find that the study of French becomes exciting when it is combined with hands-on activity, construction or creative work.   Vocabulary development and speaking skills are the fundamentals of the Grade 7 and Grade 8 programs.  Written skills, reading, grammar, and verb conjugation become more of a focus in French 9.  Many of our French Immersion teachers also teach our Core French program.  For more information see the BC Core French Curriculum.
